Thank You Card Program

If you want a highly effective and inexpensive way to grow your pharmacy, then you will love the Thank You Card Program.

The beauty of this program is its simplicity. A handwritten thank you card from an employee to a patient. That is really all it is. Here is how I run my thank you card program.

  • Every employee is required to write 1 card for every shift they work. Work 3 days a week, then write 3 cards that week.
  • Employees keep a log of the patients they send one to and turn it in to me at the end of the month.
  • They earn a bonus for completing the required 1 card per shift.

Although this is simple and low-tech, it will profoundly impact your patients and their relationship with you. Don’t be surprised if you get cards in return or other ‘thank yous’ for your thank you.

Here are some helpful resources:

What type of card should you use? I recommend getting blank cards with your pharmacy logo on one side and blank on the other or inside. This way, you can use these cards to say anything. I order my cards from Jessica at Promosuns ([email protected]). I order the envelopes from Amazon is super bright pharmacy colors. This way, they are never missed in the mail.

I prefer to let my employees have leeway with their cards. At first, it will be awkward. Let them know that is ok! They can write a simple I appreciate you choosing our pharmacy. Then sign it. As they get more comfortable writing them, don’t be surprised if they start becoming more like letters.
